Novak Djokovic might play Eastbourne the week before Wimbledon, according to Britain’s The Times.
After Djokovic lost in the quarters at the French Open, he said he would consider adding an event to his schedule, but also said he was looking at taking a break from the tour.
“He will decide in the next 48 hours,” a spokesperson for Djokovic told the newspaper. “Novak didn’t decide yet, but he is taking in consideration to play at this tournament.”
Djokovic, who does not normally play a warm-up event before Wimbledon, will not play next week’s events in Halle or London, according to the spokesperson.
Djokovic recently dropped to No. 4, his lowest ranking since October 2009.
The Aegon International in Eastbourne has offered him a wild card into the tournament, where he would be the highest-ranked player entered.
