Force India are arguably F1’s best team in terms of bang for buck but they know they are up against it this year in terms of trying to hold on to fourth place.
But that doesn’t mean they are not going to go for it. Chief operating officer Otmar Szafnauer said: “It is going to be hard for us to maintain where we were last year. Renault have added loads of people and McLaren have changed power-train so they say they are going to be better. Williams have a Paddy Lowe car and hired a chief aerodynamicist from Ferrari. They have more resource than us and bigger facilities. So it will be hard to maintain fourth but that’s our target and we think we can do it.”
