Video showed that Kish lost control of her bowels during the fight, trying to escape a vicious looking rear-naked choke from her opponent. The exertion Kish used to escape the mount of Herrig brought about the unfortunate incident.

The courage shown by Kish in fighting the deep choke from Herrig saw her receive praise.
UFC analyst Kenny Florian.
“I have no idea how Kish got out of this (choke),” Florian said.
“Just pure toughness and strength. Just amazing determination from Justine (Kish).”
Kish was undefeated going into her fight, but Herrig used her superior grappling to edge the strawweight.
Replay of Kish’s attempted escape confirmed that a substance was left on the canvas.
Herrig picked up her third straight win and promptly called out the best in the division in the UFC.
Kish though took to social media following the contest, owning her Octagon accident, and telling her fans that she will return to fight another day.
Several took to social media to support Kish for the way she handled the situation, and the hashtag #shithappens even briefly trended on social media.
Fortunately for Kish she is not alone in suffering the embarrassing scenario inside the Octagon.
Middleweigh Yoel Romero and Tim Sylvia have also had accidents during fights.
It happens, but hopefully they all own it as gracefully as Kish did.
