Former world No 2 Krzysztof Kasprzak will return to Poole for the 2017 SGP Premiership campaign.
Polish star Kasprzak, who last rode for the Pirates in 2012, will be back at Wimborne Road on an 11.07 average after being with Coventry this year.
Poole promoter Matt Ford said: “KK has been the unfortunate victim of both his own and the club’s success in past seasons, finding himself in direct competition with the likes of Chris Holder and Darcy Ward as an out-and-out No 1.
“Despite his factored average consuming a big chunk of our points, I am really pleased to be able to welcome him back yet again.
“I know for sure that he absolutely revels in riding for Poole as we saw last season when he stepped into the breach for us as a guest against Belle Vue.
“He was absolutely terrific, delivering an unbeaten showing, and I feel there are plenty of those type of performances still left him in.”
Meanwhile, Nick Morris has agreed a new deal to stay with Swindon for next season.
“Everything about it makes sense for me,” Morris said. “I am based in Swindon, it’s also where my workshop facility is and it’s very much a second home to me.
“The new stadium is also an exciting development and I’m really pleased to be staying. Hopefully I can have more time on the bike next year and have a good one.”
