Former San Francisco Giants reliever Javier Lopez is in the market for a job, reports SB Nation’s Chris Cotillo.
Lopez, now a free agent, is actively seeking offers and “expects to play if he finds an acceptable fit,” Cotillo tweets, citing a source. The 39-year-old was rumored to be considering retirement.
In 68 appearances with the Giants last season, Lopez posted a 4.05 ERA and 1.46 WHIP. He struck out 15 and walked 15 in 26 2/3 innings.
