Children’s Probiotics: Friendly bacteria are also needed for stimulation of the immune system. Probiotics are very powerful and cultivate balance in kids.
Manuka Honey: From friendly New Zealand comes Manuka – a honey with medical properties. Maybe a bit expensive but still good treat in the mornings.
Turmeric Root Powder: Turmeric is a very popular south Asian spice that has anti-inflammatory properties. It also contains a good dose of vitamin B6, which helps strengthen the body’s immune responses. I usually sneak a pinch of this into my kids’ oatmeal bowls.
- Throat -soothing lollipops: A fun alternative that at the same time will heal your kids throat and your kids will enjoy it.
- Apple Cider Vinegar: This helps me in calming mild fevers. When your child is having a bit high temperature, just soak a cloth in this vinegar and place it on your kids forehead. It is a good substitute for ibuprofen.
- Chest Rub: I prefer this eucalyptus rub on my children when they have cold or nasal congestion.
