UFC 211: Stipe Miocic gains revenge on Junior Dos Santos after brutal first-round TKO defends the heavyweight title

Stipe Miocic has emphatically dismissed any doubts that he rules the UFC heavyweight division.

The towering American unleashed a devastating first-round TKO of former-champion Junior Dos Santos in front of a packed house in Dallas at UFC 211 to defend his heavyweight championship.

‘JDS’ was the last man to defeat Miocic in a UFC Arena, back in December 2014 they slugged it out for the entire 25-minute allotted time, but Saturday’s demolition was shockingly straight forward.

A blistering right hand behind the ear and series of motored left hands on the mat halted the contest after just two minutes and 22 seconds.

“I am the best in the world,” Miocic told UFC analyst Joe Rogan moments after the win. “I’m the heavyweight champ.”

However, it wasn’t going to be a wild night of celebrations for the best in the world.
